Affordable GEO Tools Under $100/Month: Prompt Limits Compared for August 2026

Updated:

The cheapest GEO plan is not necessarily the one that produces the most useful monitoring data. As of August 4, 2026, OtterlyAI starts at $29 monthly, GEOly at $49, Peec AI at $95, and Semrush AI Visibility at $99—but those prices buy very different combinations of prompts, AI engines, daily runs, brands, domains, and seats.

By AI Marketing Picks — Updated August 4, 2026

This comparison is based on published vendor documentation and pricing, not hands-on product testing. We normalized each plan into estimated monthly response observations so marketers can see which limit is likely to break first.

What “under $100” includes—and how we normalized the plans

We included publicly documented plans with a monthly price or monthly equivalent below $100:

That last distinction matters. Semrush meets the $100 headline threshold, but it requires a $1,188 annual commitment for each domain based on its August 2026 pricing page.

Our primary normalization is:

prompts × custom-tracked engines × 30 scheduled days = estimated monthly response observations

One response observation means one AI answer returned for one prompt, from one engine, on one scheduled run. It is not a search impression, unique user query, conversion, or guaranteed usable answer.

We used 30 days because GEOly explicitly packages 30 prompts and one daily platform as 900 monthly responses, while Peec AI’s documentation also explains daily credits using a 30-day month. Actual runs in a 31-day month may differ.

We also separate broad database coverage from custom-prompt tracking. This is particularly important for Semrush: its pricing page advertises mentions from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini, and Perplexity, but its prompt-tracking documentation specifically describes daily custom tracking in ChatGPT Search and Google AI Mode. We therefore count two engines—not four—in Semrush’s custom-response estimate.

These numbers reveal three different value propositions:

The modeled costs are useful for capacity planning, not quality scoring. They do not measure response accuracy, platform reliability, reporting usability, or the commercial value of a citation.

As of August 2026, OtterlyAI Lite includes 15 search prompts, daily tracking across Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot, one workspace, unlimited users, and 1,000 GEO URL audits monthly. Google AI Mode, Gemini and Claude cost extra, according to OtterlyAI’s pricing documentation.

What each plan actually includes

OtterlyAI Lite: inexpensive breadth, shallow prompt depth

OtterlyAI Lite costs $29 monthly and runs 15 prompts daily across four included engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot. That produces an estimated 1,800 response observations in a normalized 30-day month.

The plan also includes unlimited brand reports, unlimited team members, detailed reports and exports, and 1,000 GEO URL audits monthly. Its single workspace is the organizational constraint, while the 15-prompt allowance is the practical research constraint.

OtterlyAI’s July 2026 documentation says prompts can be distributed across brand reports and domains. It also says that tracking the same question in four countries consumes four prompts. A multilingual or regional program can therefore exhaust Lite before it reaches meaningful topical coverage.

Google AI Mode and Gemini each cost an additional $9 monthly on Lite; Claude costs $29. Adding all three would make the plan $76 monthly while retaining the same 15-prompt limit. Extra prompt packages are unavailable on Lite.

The vendor’s July 2026 changelog documents recent additions including Claude tracking, ChatGPT Ads and Shopping Cards data, query fan-out, and expanded API/MCP prompt management. API and MCP access, however, are documented for Standard and higher plans rather than Lite.

Verdict: OtterlyAI Lite is the strongest low-cost choice for monitoring a small, carefully curated prompt set across several engines. It gives up prompt depth, separate client workspaces, and inexpensive expansion beyond 15 prompts.

GEOly Basic: the clearest single-engine allowance

GEOly Basic costs $49 monthly for 30 prompts monitored daily in ChatGPT. Unlike plans that leave response volume implicit, GEOly documents an allowance of 900 responses per month. That matches 30 prompts multiplied by one platform and 30 daily runs.

Basic also includes one brand, one seat, 3,000 monthly AI credits, basic industry charts, 30 days of custom-monitoring history, and email support. Credits expire after 30 days, according to the August 2026 pricing table.

GEOly’s next plan, Grow, costs $149 monthly and adds a second seat, Google AI Mode, 50 prompts, and 3,000 responses. That means Basic users cannot add documented multi-engine custom monitoring while remaining under $100.

The GEOly changelog flags June 2026’s v1.24.0 release as introducing organizations and a revised pricing lineup. Buyers comparing older reviews should therefore rely on the current Basic limits rather than legacy plan names or allowances.

As of August 2026, GEOly Basic costs $49 per month and includes one brand, one seat, 30 monitoring prompts, ChatGPT tracking, daily monitoring and 900 responses monthly. GEOly’s pricing page makes the denominator explicit: 30 prompts multiplied by one platform and a 30-day billing month equals 900 response observations.

Verdict: GEOly Basic is the cleanest fit for a solo marketer who wants exactly 30 daily ChatGPT prompts and an explicit response allowance. It gives up multi-engine tracking, additional brands, and team access at the under-$100 level.

Peec AI Starter: the highest normalized capacity

Peec AI Starter costs $95 monthly and includes 50 prompts, three selected models, daily tracking, one project, one country, and unlimited users. Available default models documented in July 2026 include ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, and Gemini.

Selecting three engines gives an estimated 4,500 monthly response observations:

50 prompts × 3 engines × 30 days = 4,500

That is 2.5 times OtterlyAI Lite’s modeled volume and five times GEOly Basic’s documented response allowance. Peec AI also provides substantially more topical depth than the other sub-$100 plans.

The constraint is segmentation. One project and one country make Starter a single-brand, single-market plan even though it allows unlimited colleagues. An additional model costs $35 monthly on Starter, taking the total above $100. Peec AI’s July 2026 product information says annual billing saves approximately 15%.

Peec AI’s July 6 changelog added a query-fan-out view and AI Shopping access through its MCP and customer API. Those additions increase the product’s analytical scope, but they do not change the Starter limits used in this comparison.

Verdict: Peec AI Starter is our capacity pick for one brand needing at least 20–50 prompts across three engines. It gives up the lower entry price, multiple projects, multi-country tracking, and a fourth model within the $100 ceiling.

Semrush AI Visibility Base: broader suite, stricter economics

Semrush AI Visibility Base costs $99 per month per domain and is billed annually. It includes 25 daily custom prompts, one domain for Brand Performance analysis, competitor and prompt research, an AI-readiness site audit, and broader visibility reporting involving ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini, and Perplexity.

For normalization, we count only the two environments identified in Semrush’s daily custom prompt-tracking instructions: ChatGPT Search and Google AI Mode. That produces an estimated 1,500 observations monthly.

This conservative treatment prevents a common comparison error: multiplying the 25 custom prompts by every platform represented in Semrush’s broader database. Published documentation does not establish that all four platform families run every custom prompt daily.

Additional users start at $45 monthly, while the $99 plan is priced per domain. A second domain therefore takes the effective monthly cost to $198, subject to annual billing. Semrush may still make sense if its combined SEO, competitor, audit, and AI research workflow replaces other software; it is less compelling as a pure custom-prompt tracker.

As of August 2026, Peec AI Starter costs $95 monthly for 50 prompts, three selected models, one project, one country, daily tracking and unlimited users. Semrush AI Visibility Base costs $99 monthly, billed annually per domain, for 25 daily custom prompts; extra users start at $45 monthly, according to Peec AI documentation and Semrush’s pricing page.

Verdict: Semrush is the best fit here for a one-domain marketer who values its wider search-intelligence workflow more than raw custom-response capacity. It gives up month-to-month flexibility, inexpensive multi-domain use, included additional seats, and the lowest cost per modeled observation.

Three budget scenarios—and which constraint breaks first

Scenario 1: One brand, 30 ChatGPT prompts, one user

Winner: GEOly Basic at $49 monthly.

GEOly fits the requirement exactly: 30 prompts, one brand, one seat, ChatGPT, and 900 documented monthly responses.

OtterlyAI breaks first at 15 prompts. Semrush breaks at 25 custom prompts. Peec AI fits with room to spare but costs $46 more and requires selecting three models even if the buyer only prioritizes ChatGPT.

What the winner gives up: GEOly’s $49 plan provides no second monitoring platform and no second seat.

Scenario 2: One brand, 20 prompts across three engines

Winner: Peec AI Starter at $95 monthly.

The requirement produces 1,800 modeled observations. Peec AI supports 50 prompts across three selected models, leaving room for another 30 prompts.

OtterlyAI offers four included engines but breaks at the 15-prompt limit. GEOly breaks at one engine. Semrush has enough prompts, but its current custom-tracking documentation establishes only two daily AI environments.

What the winner gives up: Peec AI consumes nearly the full budget and limits the account to one project and one country.

If only 15 prompts are required, OtterlyAI becomes the better-value alternative. Choosing it at 20 prompts would mean changing the research design, not merely saving money.

Scenario 3: Three small clients, five prompts each, three engines

Winner: OtterlyAI Lite at $29 monthly—with an agency-workflow warning.

The account needs 15 prompts total. OtterlyAI documents unlimited brand reports and allows prompts to be distributed across reports and domains, so three five-prompt client sets fit. Each prompt would run across four included engines, exceeding the three-engine requirement.

GEOly breaks at one brand. Peec AI breaks at one project. Semrush charges per domain, making three domains $297 per month on annual billing.

What the winner gives up: All 15 prompts are consumed immediately, and every client sits inside one workspace. That is workable for lightweight monitoring but weak for client isolation, expansion, and agency-grade account organization.

Hidden costs to check before subscribing

Prompt counts are only the visible ceiling. Based on August 2026 documentation, these are the less obvious breakpoints:

If you are deciding whether paid monitoring adds enough value over first-party data, compare these products with the limits of Google Search Console’s AI reporting.

Final recommendations

Choose OtterlyAI Lite for the least expensive multi-engine monitoring or several tiny brand reports. Its losing tradeoff is the hard 15-prompt ceiling and one-workspace structure.

Choose GEOly Basic for one person tracking 30 ChatGPT prompts with a transparent 900-response allowance. Its losing tradeoff is that the under-$100 plan stops at one platform, brand, and seat.

Choose Peec AI Starter for the most normalized monitoring capacity: 50 prompts across three selected engines. Its losing tradeoff is its $95 price and one-project, one-country limit.

Choose Semrush AI Visibility Base when broader SEO and competitive intelligence matter more than response economics. Its losing tradeoff is annual per-domain billing, paid extra users, and narrower documented custom-prompt tracking than its broader platform-mentions coverage might imply.

Our strongest overall position is that Peec AI offers the best under-$100 capacity for one serious brand, while OtterlyAI offers the best low-cost breadth. Neither is an unconditional winner: Peec AI loses on price and project flexibility; OtterlyAI loses on prompt depth.

Freshness note: Recheck every price and limit on September 1, 2026, or immediately after an OtterlyAI, GEOly, Peec AI, or Semrush update affecting prompts, engines, cadence, responses, domains, seats, or add-ons.
